A free transition workshop for Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
(ages 13-21, or 8th-12th grade), Parents, Teachers, and other Professionals
What do we do?
Facilitators work with students on self-advocacy and leadership skills. Parents, teachers, and students will learn how laws, policies, accommodations, and assistance differ after high school. Everyone will gain knowledge about how to make the transition from high school to higher education or to the world of work.

The planning committee includes representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation, GACHI, The Technical College System of Georgia, Dekalb Technical College, The Georgia Department of Education and other community leaders.
